Contrasting colors between layers would be cool.

You should get a color wheel... it has everything you need to know about color... primary colors, secondary colors, complementary colors, etc. It will help you learn what colors look good together.

The green mixed media art journal is really nice with a plain cover but the painted ones as amazing as well ! The smaller size books are cool, easy to take on the go because you could put it in your bag/purse. 😍
